It’s not what you do – It’s how it makes you feel.

The end is nigh..

Or it will be soon…

No – I’m not being all doom and gloom

I’m talking about the end of lockdown…

Now – I don’t know about you but I’ve been doing things and getting things done that I couldn’t get done before…

Having my hair cut – OMG – it was THE best feeling. Having all the dry ends cut off and it feeling all nice and healthy..

Made me realise BIG time – it’s not what you do – it’s how it makes you feel..

This works for anything and everything..

Whether it’s having a hair cut, cleaning the house, having a coffee in your favourite coffee shop, playing sport, going to the gym…

The list is endless…

Everything we do has an emotional response – some good, some bad….

A perfect and amazing life would mean that everything would make us feel fantastic – but life isn’t always like that..

Yes there are things that we need to do that aren’t exactly mind blowingly brilliant but we do them and crack on… I have to say I am not really enamoured by cooking or cleaning – but I do them and crack on…  I know that when they’re done – I can do stuck that sings at me…

Kind of “eat the frog” scenario…

So when you’re planning your day – think of what you include in it and what you get from it… For some people – asking how it makes them feel – is a bit too “soft” but asking what you get from doing things – they respond to – it’s just how our minds work…

I know there are some people who struggle with having smiles each day – through overwhelming anxiety, low moods, depression or just feeling a bit meh….

There are ways and means to conquer this…

Why not drop me a message and we can put that smile back….
